Hey guys, myself and my partner have been trying for a baby since December, we fell pregnant second cycle of trying but our little one stopped growing and we had a MMC at 11 wks. Miscarried naturally on 9th May. Have been trying since but nothing. I have two children which I had at 24 & 26 without problems. Starting to panic. Anyone naturally conceived at 40 ? We can’t afford ivf.
What will the doctors do for us on the NHS? What tests can we have to help us? Every month feels like a week, my life seems to flying by, before I know it, I’ll be 45 with no chance at all. Please help x

Hi I am currently 30 weeks pregnant with my 4th child and I am 46 years old.
I fell pregnant naturally.
The doctors were and still are quite surprised as by the age of 45 the chances of naturally conceiving and having a viable pregnancy are very low but I had my 3rd child my little girl at 43 also conceived naturally.
My first child is now 14 I had him aged 33 and my second at 35.
This pregnancy has been very hard and I’ve had a few complications and I’m being monitored very closely .
My partner is younger by 10 years but I’ve been told that’s would have made no difference I’m just lucky very lucky that I’ve been able to conceive naturally.
There is not really any help on NHS for older woman I believe other than tests to confirm if you are still fertile or not.
This may be worth looking into first then you’ll know if there is a chance for you or not.
I hope you get your wish of another child as I know how it feels to still want another.xx
Doctors will do very little on NHS. The issue here is egg quality. Take ubiquinol 600mg, vit d3, an expensive prenatal (both of you). It takes 3 months to mature an egg. So start these supplements today and in 3 months you’ll have a better chance of success! Good luck.
I had my two boys at 37 & 39 the last one just before I was 40. After my boys I was trying for a girl and had got pregnant 3 times within the last 13 months but sadly none of them make it far the first one I got to 10wks. I am giving up now but I am 43 this December and are a high risk due to health issues. I did have one school friend my age had a baby this spring and everything was fine so she conceived at 41 and delivered at 42.
