Mirena Coil Questions

Hi, I had the Mirena Coil fitted a week ago and I'm just wondering if everything is normal. I've experienced a bit of bleeding but nothing too heavy and some cramps but nothing excruciating. I've also experienced some discharge but have heard this is all normal. My main concern is that I cannot seem to feel the strings. I'm not in pain as of the last day or so and so it feels like it's in place but I'm just concerned. Is that because I just can't reach that far up? 😂 Please can someone give me some advice. Thank you!

I've never felt the string from the first day mirena was fitted to me. However I went for the control after three months and my nurse didn't feel the strings too. She booked a doctor for me. The doctor confirmed through the scan the mirena is in place. So it might happen strings move but mirena remain in place. For the cramps and bleeding its normal for the first months but will go away with time. Hope I have helped you ☺ .

That's amazing, thank you so much! I saw the doctor today and she could feel the strings which is good, so my only concern is the cramping and bleeding but as long as it's normal then I can relax 😂 thank you again!
