I had the medical treatment (tablet) yesterday, the bleeding didn't start for a good 5 or so hours after, I have passed a large clot this morning (which may have been the sac?) am still bleeding lightly 24 hours afterwards. I feel slightly ropey and tender still.

How do I know If its all going to plan ?

Yeah by what you've described, its worked- bleeding can apparently last for up to two weeks after the abortion, so I'd advice to take another pregnancy test after you've stopped bleeding to double confirm it. Hope you feel better soon xx

What you experienced is quite usual. Bleeding is usually like a period for the first 3-4 days, then you may have spotty bleeding for 2-3 weeks. Most clinics either arrange a follow-up apt 2 weeks after treatment, or provide you with a special (low sensitivity pregnancy test) to do at home @ 2 weeks. Don't do a shop bough standard PT as that will give you the wrong result. If you continue to feel unwell, contact your abortion provider/clinic and go back for a check-up appointment.
