Need help !! I started the combined pill about 2 months ago now and about a few days ago my stomach has been bloated to the point where I look 6 months pregnant ... it's so embarrassing and uncomfortable to the point I wear baggy clothes ! Is this a symptom of the pill and how can I get rid of it ? :(

Hi I would tell your Gp and maybe change it. It may be that particular pill brand doesn't agree with you. I reacted to all the pills I tried and I mean I went on all of them but for me I got severe cramps in my legs. Maybe you are reacting to the coating used on them.

Hi There,

It would be best to go and see the nurses at a local contraceptive clinic, as they can help sort out whether it is this particular mix of hormones and change it, or if there is another gynae issue occurring, as some conditions can cause severe bloating. nhs.uk/Service-Search/Sexua... this will help you find a local service, then if you need a gynae referral they should be able to help.

Best Wishes

Jules
