When did you start your maternity leave ?

I work full time as a reception manager at a doctors surgery.

I wanted to try to work as long as poss so that I get more time when baby comes .

36 weeks I took my holiday in one go ( saved it all year ) then my 39 weeks from the due date X

Mine started the day after my son was born (he was early)

I was meant to be going 5 week before my due date! But I'm so glad it worked out the way it did! My advise would be hold out for as long as your able to.

Even after a year off with my son, it was so hard going back to work. So I'm glad I didn't go when i was meant too or I would have missed even more.

Most women stay working up to 37-38 weeks, if they are feeling fit, but you should be guided by how you feel.
