Unprotected sex before coming off the pill

I take the pill (Rigevidon) and am about to come off to have my period (so just for 7 days). However I had unprotected sex yesterday. Apparently sperm can stay alive for 5 days in the body so if I come off the pill now is it likely that I could become pregnant? Should I just stay on the pill for a few more days and then have my period? Thanks!!

Hi Lindsay,

No you will be covered by the pill during your 7 day break, as long as you have taken all your pills correctly. And do make sure it is only a 7 day break, even though you may not bleed until the end of the week.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Katherine
