hi ,

i used loop as contraceptive for past 3 years , i was just removed 10 days ago and i was smoker , and i am 33 now mother of three children planning for a other, can i get pregnant, i am confused whether I can or not , and excited and scared and iam suffering with anameaia

Hi there

I am not sure if you mean an intrauterine device (IUD/IUS) or coil as we call it in the UK? If it was a coil, normal fertility is usually back very quickly, but you should take advice from the healthcare professional that removed it. Regarding anemia, you can buy over-the-counter iron supplements, but it may be better to get a pre-conception health check with your doctor, and also start taking folic acid.
