Hiya! I was 33 years old and conceived within two months of deciding to try after coming off the pill. We didn't bother about ovulation dates etc. We just had sex every three/four days and kept our fingers crossed! I propped my butt up with a folder pillow for 30 minutes after too. I started taking folic acid as soon as we decided to try but didn't stop smoking/drinking (until I got pregnant of course!)

Good luck!!

I've been trying to pillow idea thank you. Hope all goes well. How early did you find out you was pregnant? X

in reply toAdele31

Thank you :) I'd read that you had to do a pregnancy test on the first day of your period so month 1 I got a negative and month 2 I got a very surprising positive and then knew I was roughly 4 weeks. I had no symptoms whatsoever and didn't feel any different until about 8 weeks when the sickness set in so I would not have known without the test! It's all just a bit of a lottery isn't it! I hooe you get good news soon x

My first wasn't planned but I got pregnant the first month I had sex with my husband (boyfriend at the time) but I was in good shape and really healthy. I was 17 and used condoms but once I didn't and that's how my son was created lol! My daughter we actually tried for and she took 8 months. I wasn't in as good health as I was struggling loosing baby weight from my first and suffered bad post natal depression which was undiagnosed at the time. I found when I got myself into a better mental state I got pregnant straight away (the 8th month). Pregnant with my 3rd now and we didn't exactly try to get pregnant but I was pretty lazy with my pill lol 6months of being abit lazy and I got pregnant. I think the better health you are in when trying to conceive would help as it can also mean a less risky pregnancy too. Don't really have any tips other than that... always read man on top is best position to get pregnant. We found just enjoying it rather than plotting my ovulation and all that was easier for us but some people prefer to have strict routine of following their cycle to get the best chance of getting pregnant.

My Husband and I decided to try for the first time in May. I have been off the pill / injection for more than 4 years so knew my system was 'clean', I ovulation tested in April and May and we did it once during the 2 days of recorded high fertility (we were both away on separate trips) and... well, I'm now 33 weeks pregnant and due the first week of Feb! I never thought it would happen so soon for us, I was incredibly paranoid and convinced we'd struggle for some reason but apparently that one night in May, everything just came to together for us. Could also have been utter fluke of course and I wouldn't bet that it would be so easy next time! Good luck with your baby making :-)

My partner works away and is only home at weekends so I'm worried like you was that I won't be able to...not just because he is away but I'm convinced I'll have a problem my worst fear. Whether it was a fluke or not it worked and really happy for you. How early did you find out?? X

Our situation was similar actually with my Husband working away, it did add to my worries so I understand how you feel. I think this contributed to me wanting to use the ovulation testing and timing method! We found out at 4.5 Weeks. It would have been earlier but we got married at the beginning of June and I lost track of my cycle so hasn't really worked out how late I was until the day after the wedding! I thought it might be stress so we only did a test 'just in case' but hey presto! I really do understand your concern, the best advice I can give is to test (simply as this method worked for me) and to try not to fret too much. Easier said than done I know! Good luck, let us know how it works out for you! X

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I had been taking Seven Seas pre-conception vitamins for around 5 months beforehand - no idea if they helped but they clearly didn't hurt! X

Did anyone have any early pregnancy symptoms? I'm not due on my period for a few days but having a few pains/stinging feelings? Could this be a coincidence? Only been trying for a few weeks so sure I won't be pregnant but don't normal get these pains x

I'm expecting my first baby now - she was not at all planned! I got pregnant pretty much straight away when I started to have sex with my baby's "father" (or pathetic excuse of a father should I say😂) - we were using condoms but he decided he was going to take the condom off and not tell me, and then decided he wanted nothing to do with my baby when he found out I was pregnant. But that's his loss anyway! I am very happy that I'm pregnant and have a very supportive family and group of friends around me.

I have heard that taking folic acid/preconception vitamins whilst trying to conceive can increase your chances slightly. Try ovulation tests maybe!

I had sharp abdominal pains for around 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant in A&E at 5 weeks pregnant (after plenty of home tests and a GP told me I wasn't) - never found out what the pains were but a few people said they would have put it down to what they called "fixing pains"? Not sure what that is but maybe you have that but it could also just be a coincidence as you say!

Good luck anyway lovely, all the best xx

On january my menstruation came on time exact 30 days (i really dont know actually the exact date of my menstruation because sometimes it's 30 days but simetimes more than 30). I usually have 7 days mens but ds month got 3-4 days i think. After my menstruation i could feel bloating stomach... When i eat i usually feel vomiting and my tummy is getting bigger i guess. I am thinking that i maybe pregnant though i had my menstruation and got test this early morning and its negative. I wish i am pregnant. Need help.
