Should i take morning after pill

Hi i took the norigynon injection on monday whilst on my period after a 2 month break my period ended tuesday i had sex on Thursday night should i take a morning after pill because the condom burst would i get pregnant

Hi Thims,

I used to get the contraceptive injection and was told that it is effective straight away so I would have thought you should be ok. You could call you GP today - they usually have a call back service? Or the clinic where you got the injection? If you aren't protected - don't panic because there is a 5-day emergency contraceptive pill called Ella One which you can get a prescription for from your GP or sexual health clinic. You can buy it from Boots etc but it's quite expensive - I think around £40. Or you could always get a coil fitted at your GP or sexual health clinic up to 5 days after having sex. But I think the best thing to do would be to ask your clinic or GP if you are covered by the injection first and then take it from there?

Yes - I agree with Kitty. You should get in touch with whoever administered your injection. I'm afraid we don't use this kind of injection in the UK where I am based so can't offer you any more advice than that.
