Has anyone ever had a missed miscarriage and fallen pregnant straight away afterwards? I had cramps and was sent for an early scan, by my dates I was 8 wks and when I had the scan there was an egg sac with a yoke ( about 5 wks) plus what looked like 2 empty egg sacs, I was wondering if it happened to anyone else and if they carried the baby full time?

This is my 2nd pregnancy, thank you for reading

Hi there

Usually a miscarriage cannot be diagnosed from one scan, so usually you would need another scan and possibly beta HCG blood test to finally know the outcome. The Miscarriage Association has a really great website with lots of information which might be helpful for you at this sad and confusing time: miscarriageassociation.org.uk/

I hope this helps

Best wishes

Katherine
