Last Thursday I has the abortion pills and the day after the sack of the baby came out and it's been four days since the abortion and my bleeding has stopped can someone tell me what's happened?

Hi there,

From your description, it seems as though your abortion has now completed. Having a four day bleed after a medical abortion is perfectly normal, and it would only be if the bleed lasted for more than two weeks or you had very heavy bleeds, if there was an unpleasant smell, or you had a fever that you would need to speak to someone asap. However, if you are concerned then do contact the clinic where you had your abortion to have a chat about it as they will hopefully be able to reassure you that there is nothing to worry about.

Yeah that helps a lot would I still have to wait a week or 2 to have sex or can I have sex now because everything has passed or do I need to wait?

Yes, it would be best to avoid sex for one to two weeks after having an abortion just because of the risk of infection. Also, after an abortion your fertility can return back to normal straight away so if you want to avoid getting pregnant then you will need to use a method of contraception.
