I hd unprotected sex wid my bf one week back (6th september) and my periods were due on 10th sept.. I havent tk any contraceptive pill bt i didn get my periods on 10th.. Its been 2 days.. what should i do now.. Am i pregnant ??

Should i go for pregnancy test ??

N what will i do if i am pregnant.. How to avoid it ???

Hi Vinita,

As your period is late, you should take a pregnancy test. If the test is negative but your period still hasn't arrived, wait four days and then take another test. If your period is still late then you should probably pop down to your GP or local contraceptive and sexual health clinic just to check there isn't anything else going on that might be affecting your period.

If you have unprotected sex at any point in your cycle, it is always possible you could get pregnant. If you are having sex and want to avoid pregnancy, you really do need to use a method of contraception. We have a guide to the different methods online here:
