I have diverticular disease but no symptoms for two years.
I have another common condition, inflammation in my joints and I am getting conflicting advice about taking NSAIDs (ibuprofen etc), one GP says yes, another no.
Does anyone have any experience of this either taking NSAIDs in small doses to treat inflammation if they have diverticular disease, (not necessarily for this condition) or an alternative product that has been recommended to help fight inflammation if NSAIDs are deemed unsuitable.
Thanks

I have the same question, and have also recieved mixed replies. I have osteoporosis so missing taking NSAIDs, which I have not taken since my diagnosis of Diverticular disease 30/12/24. Not sure where to go from here.
I had no idea I had Diverticular disease until I had a rectal bleed 4 days after taking my first dose of Alendronic Acid for Osteoporosis. Ive stopped taking that too, because I’m getting the same mixed messages!!!
Colonoscopy diagnosed Diverticular Disease but no cause of bleeding discovered.
