I have recently become very gassy, constantly farting and slight change in bowel movement, quite loose with urgency but not really diarrhoea .I have been diagnosed with diverticular disease (6 years ago) could this be related to diverticular disease?Anyone else out there have similar symptoms I have never been gassy before with it.Thanks. Judy

Hi Judy, I have just had the same issue, my doctor said it could be diverticular disease. It turned out to be bowel infection, but to be honest I am not sure about that because I always have flare ups. The doctor that did my colonoscopy saw things that suggested colitis or Crohn’s. I also have dysmotility , I don’t know why. See your doctor, it is best too, even if you think it is your diverticular, it can be other things. Hope you get sorted, all the best.

Thanks for your reply Suzie, yes I've decided to TRY to get a GP appointment to set my mind at rest. I had a urine infection some years ago and looking back that had similar symptoms too. I need to get some answers! Thanks again, take care,

Judith
