I have had constipation most of my life. I’m 70 years old. I have diverticulosis colon polyps Barrett’s esophagus ulcers. My stomach is a mess. Fiber like Metamucil makes me worse. I’m a breast cancer survivor and also have hypothyroidism. Also have anticardiolipin antibodies. I really could use any advice on how to ease this constipation. Thanks

Chronic constipation
I'm also 70, am a breast cancer survivor, and have hypothyroidism. I've suffered from constipation for the past year or so. After trying everything I could think of, I discovered the use of coconut oil. I mix almost a tablespoon of organic virgin coconut oil in my morning oatmeal. You can also mix a teaspoon in warm water and drink this in the evening . You'll have to find the amount that gives you best results. I find that this helps to soften the stool and makes things easier. Good luck to you!
