Post op pain one year on

Hi,

Apologies if this is not the right place.

A year ago I had a lot of endometriosis removed from my bowel. One part was on the left side and lower down, the other was on the right side, higher up, on a major blood vessel. I struggled with left side symptoms and pain for years.

Since the night of the op I had sever right-side pain and have so since. I’ve been hospitalised a few times since. Shortly after the op there was a lump so they assumed it was inflamed tissue and gave me antibiotics. There is no more lump but it constantly feels like there is something inside ready to pop and I am always constipated/obstructed.

Surgeons are going to take another look and I am also awaiting a referral to gastro. The current theory is maybe it’s scar tissue.

I am wondering, from a gastro prospective, what else can cause this sort of pain?

Maybe a parasitic infection? I would look into it. I am researching that for myself also.

I don’t think so, I don’t have nausea or diarrhoea, mostly constipation and blockages.

How do you get them? I also don’t eat meat and figured that’s most of them right?

That's what I thought too, but apparently it's not hard! It seems some can live on veggies and fruits, in dirt, anywhere practically. From your dog, cat, any animals. Public toilets, lakes, a doorknob...
