I've had 8 zoledronic acid infusions and always have a range of blood tests a month before each one, including calcium and vit D levels as well as liver and kidney function. These are first checked by my GP and then the bone health nurse at the hospital prior to the infusion being given, so I would think you'll be advised whether or not the infusion should go ahead. On one occasion both my liver and kidney results were abnormal, so a month later I had repeat blood tests which were again normal so the infusion went ahead. Good luck!
