Hi, I've now started teraparatide and need to buy a medical grade cool bag suitable for long-haul travel. I need one that is good for at least 12 hours, preferably longer, as I do a lot of long-haul travel. Any recommendations? Many thanks!

12-hour+ medical grade cool bag?
I am also on Teriparatide, my supplier Lloyds, provided my medical grade ice pack. It was delivered by the nurse who visited my home to demonstrate how to do the injections.
Hi
I was also on Teraparatide and was give a cool bag which fitted the pen syringe and spare needles and ice pack. Think it lasted about 12 hours
Ho, I was given an ice pack, and a case for my pen etc. It was delivered by the Nurse when I started the injection. Contact your supplier for assistance.
Thanks everyone, my supplier (HealthNet) do not supply cool bags, nor do they recommend any. Another example of the NHS postcode lottery, I guess.
I am awaiting the nurse to come and show me how to use pen I too was hoping for a bag but mine is supplied through healthnet so I will be in same situation it is crazy. I think I will go to my chemist and speak with pharmacist for advice as i know they sell them. I don't really want to risk buying 1 on Amazon. Please let me know how you get on and how are you doing on injections xx
Hi I also started Teriparatide. I bought a CoolMeds Go 2-8 isothermal case from a website called MediGenix . I’ll still to use it but it has good reviews cost £63.90.
Mind you’ll need a letter from your Teriparatide provided to show security. Enjoy your holiday
I have been on teriparatide for one year and have traveled with a Tilcare Electric Insulin Cooler with frozen gel. I bought it through Amazon. If there is no fridge in a hotel room or cruise cabin I have used this cooler with a separate cooling lid and mains power through a USB lead to keep my Terossa pen at fridge temperature 2-8 degrees C. The single gel pack of this Cooler is easier to get refrozen before departure from hotel/ship than the 6 gel packs in the travel bag.
I travel with a covering letter to explain the medication I am carrying. That was necessary when an airport security machine detected liquid in the above Cooler.
I was on that drug and they supplied the cool bag, it came with it along with the ice trays. I only did short haul flights but with a full day’s travel. The ice was still hard. It’s worth ringing the suppliers on the leaflets
