Hi

I have osteoporosis, diagnosed 2 years ago and take allendronic acid . I also have spinal issues and joint issues with oa and now a possible connective tissue disease. It’s been a long battle with diagnosis as I’ve got pleural/pericardial effusion brought on with Serositis, my stomach is currently the size of a football as it’s affecting the lining of my stomach too.

Anyone else with symptoms like this?

Sorry I can’t help regarding your symptoms but do try entering Serositis in the search box….there are quite a few previous posts.

The pleural effusion has been going on for over a year without any diagnosis and now I have pericarditis which has been there on and off for 6 months but more permanent now. Serositis is linked with lupus sle and RA but rheumatologist was looking for swollen joints, I’m more bone on bone now, the days of my swollen joints are long gone as that was in my late 20’s onwards.
