I have a adjustable bed that I inherited from my mam when she died in 2006 I wander if I would be better off getting another bed or mattress, what is the best sleep position for a adjustable bed or is it best to sleep flat it's hard with osteoporosis and arthritis in the spine

adjustable bed for osteoporosis and osteoarthritis

You don’t need to sleep with the bed tilted up. I used to have a Tempur electric bed. I only used it raised if I was reading or wanted to lie with my feet up. I always slept flat - but then I’m able to lie flat on my back.
When my husband had a hip replacement his physio told him he must NOT sleep in his reclining chair, in fact she got him to stretch out flat for an hour every day so I think flat is probably the best position to lie in if you can although it would be better to ask a physiotherapist for advice.
If you can’t lie flat though, then you can’t lie flat, you’ve got to sleep however best you can. Have you tried a nice thick mattress topper to pad the mattress out? Or you might be comfortable with a pillow under your knees again a physiotherapist could advise you on that too. I find finding a comfortable bed a real nightmare to be honest.
thanks, I raise the head of my adjustable because I have a hiatus hernia, I find it difficult to fall asleep on my back, I think what you say just do the best you can.
