Osteonecrosis and spinal stenosis

I was told by my GP my x-ray results show thinning of the bones, I already have avascular necrosis of both hips and I'm getting a lot of groin and muscle cramps in my legs also back pain with pins and needles with numbness in my feet, legs and arms I'm wondering if could be spinal stenosis as well.

Just noticed you have had no replies, so here I am. Sounds like you need a gp consult at the very least if things are getting worse. I get all sorts but put it down to OP fractures arthritis,M.E . Had hoped would settle down and improve but just timed meself can only stand 6 mins before have to sit down. Trying to get doc consult just to add D3 to my Adcal, 8am phone jam, give up. I know they’re mad busy, strikes and all & don’t want to bother them with sumat trivial so can wait.

Maybe you could ask the nurse on here?🤔

Thanks for the reply, I had abnormal liver blood test last week I think it could be down to that. My GP is ringing me today hopefully he can explain what it is, hopefully it's spinal stenosis and not osteoporosis because that fits my symptoms if it's osteoporosis then I think my liver has caused it.

Sounds like you’re already dealing with it. If it’s any help, my liver was abnormal a while ago,I bought Livercare milk thistle tabs and it was back to normal in a month. A friend had same, hers was from Omeprazole tabs!

I'm on 80mg a day of omeprozole that might be the problem, I'm taking tudca that contains milk Thistle, I've just done another home blood liver test it's 2 weeks since the last one hopefully my gamma GT has gone down

80mg of omeprazole is a very high dose and will be detrimental to your bone density. Is this a temporary dose? Are you able to reduce it? I have osteoporosis and also have to take a PPI which I keep to the lowest dose possible. You may also need a higher dose of magnesium as this will be depleted.

How many mg of magnesium do you recommend I need

I've been on 80mg for around 6 months before that I was on 40mg for around 10 years due to a eroded esophagus, hiatus hernia and Gerd. I'm gonna ask the doctor to cut it down I've read it's addictive
