Is it true that Beta blockers or ARBs help osteoporosis. Could these be an alternative to fosamax etc. which can cause such bad side effects for some of us?

I've never heard this before. I wonder what it is about these particular drugs that are good for bone health? However, they have their own side effects, so not necessarily preferable to specific osteoporosis meds.

jamanetwork.com/journals/ja... Looks like diuretics might help too.

Interesting, and it looks like proper randomised and controlled studies are needed, but I'd still be concerned about side effects!
