Hi,

I am an active55 love to hike, done masses of load baring exercise and still could not keep osteoporosis at bay.

Just started Teriparatide injections and would like to know if anyone out there has tried trekking with the meds

Hi I've recently started taking teriparatide (Movymia) and aware that it needs to be kept refrigerated, so interested to hear how you managed whilst hiking.

HiI trekked in Pyrenees with a vacuum flask with an USB lid attached to a solar panel

This gave me 72 hrs ( 3 nights out) my meds were still cold we then came in for 1 night - used the freezer in a hostel and set off again

We could have gone longer the flask can do 72 hrs at 40 degrees we had cold nights so was fine I think we could have done another night

Highly recommend we were wild camping and no probs

Hope this helps -
