Have vertebrae fracture at time of bone scan increase T-score?

Hi, does anyone know if you have a non-healed lumbar fracture and have a DEXA scan If your T-score could be affected? I'm a -5.6 in L1 thru L4 and all of them were broken at the time of scan. Just wondering if the fractures would make a difference in how the machine perceives density.

Hi, Tkacrylic, My GP showed me the images on the report of my DEXA scan & you could clearly seen that the fractured vertebrae was a lot less dense than the other vertebrae. My T-score was -1.7

I really feel for you with 4 unhealed fractured vertebrae, one is bad enough. Mine is 8 months old now & recently confirmed unhealed by X-Ray.

Do you know if it is common to have unhealed fractured vertebrae? I’ve been told to just wait and see what happens, but it probably won’t heal.

I’m taking Entourage Aqua based CBD from Simply CBD, for fibromyalgia, but came across research that showed that helps in the formation of new bone. Fingers crossed!

Hi, I had 5 vertebrae fractures, all done in the 4 months prior to my DEXA scan and was told it would make no difference to the scan results. My average T score was -2.5, I don't know individual vertebrae scores. I am trying CBD oil which will hopefully help things heal and help with new bone growth.
