Hi Lilact

I get lower back pain every now and again. Not sure if it is due to osteoporosis or osteoarthritis. I know I shall have lower back pain after vacuuming for any length of time, or doing lots in the garden but also know that it will soon pass. Lower back is usually pretty cranky every morning when I get out of bed but again that soon passes - thank goodness.

Hiya Lilact

I do suffer with lower back pain especially after I discovered I had 2 fractured vertebrae. My GP put the pain down to muscle pain but a locum insisted I go to the hospital for an x-ray and I was found to have this problem. I don't know if the the weather exasperates this condition or just a fibromyalgia flare up but I am in a lot of pain at the moment.

Good luck if you can find a relief because I find it difficult so please let me know.

hi I also suffer low back pain all the time.I have 10 compression fractures at last count, lower back pain is a new addition and I know how you feel it is dreadful.I am on very strong painkillers which do not help but who knows might be even worse if I was not on them. Good luck with the pain and if you find out how to stop it please let us all know best wishes

Hi.

A few years ago I had sciatica which was very painful and it raises its ugly head from time to time...if I've walked too much or pulled/ pushed something heavy, but generally I exercise and occasionally take a paracetamol and it is just about bearable but I am now wondering how do I know now if it is sciatica or osteoporosis ???

It happened this morning and I wasn't sure but it has eased off as the day went on...I'm guessing it wouldn't be that straightforward if it was an OP pain, but I don't know.

I also find it better to walk for a bit but then rest for a while, then walk, Lilact.

Fran 😉
