Hi my dad was recently diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. surgery was not an option due to the size and PVTT. We started an immunotherapy trial, but unfortunately he had to get off due to being hospitalized from severe hypgolycemia. Anyone else have any experience with severe hypoglycemia? He is currently on nexavar and is about to switched to opdivo.

I do not have experience with hypoglycemia unfortunately, hopefully someone else will be able to assist you there.
My father also had stage 4 liver cancer though, so if you need emotional support, feel free to reach out. I know it’s super rough for *everyone* involved, not just the patient.
Hi! My dad was diagnosed in October 2018 and is a long story but they felt they caught it very early. He had resection surgery and we thought we might get a few years before it came back but found out it metastasized this past June. He has been on sorafenib, nivolumab and ramucirumab with no results. He has had different issues with different drugs. High blood pressure with the first, bouts of low blood sugar but he’s also a diabetic so hard to tell and with the last drug high urine protein numbers so they are discontinuing. He’s also being treated for hypercalcemia and is infused with a drug called zometa every 4 weeks.
I’m really sorry that you and your family is going through this. My dad is still lucky...liver is still functioning and besides fatigue he has handled the drugs really well. They have said this can change very quickly and when asked they have given him a few months.
