Hi everyone, I take 5mg Ramipril my blood pressure in GP surgery at my annual check was 160/100 so nurse asked me to keep a log for 2 weeks, have came to the end of that log, worked out the average and that has came to 151/97

What should BP be if you only have one kidney? I read on another site 135/85 for someone with a single kidney?

please go to the website of Blood Pressure UK for lots of information.

From memory, this does not mention the lack of a kidney but presumably you have other information from blood tests and so on regarding the adequate functioning of your kidney.

The recommended pressures vary by age, sex and ethnicity.

Hello, I also have one kidney. The 135/85 mmHg you mentioned was the level my GP gave me when I was first prescribed medication for Hypertension.

I would ask your GP for advice as they know your medical history. I would hope they follow up since they asked you to monitor your BP.

Best wishes
