Should I assume my monitor is off?

Over the past couple of days I’ve had two very DANGEROUSLY low readings which make no sense whatsoever (123/32 and 120/43). After a blind panic check, the next reading was normal again, 30 seconds or so after.

During this time, I feel absolutely fine. Surely if my bp was that low I’d be passing out or already passed out?

Should I assume there’s an error going on here? Has anybody else had anything like this?

Should be ok.

Maybe get it tested in surgery or shop?

It could be faulty.

Oh gosh. This is worrying. Should I be going to emergency with readings like that?

No - if you feel okay when you get these odd readings, its the machine, not you. Blood pressure machines with a cuff higher up the arm (not the wrist) are more reliable, but any machine can develop a fault.

I hurried out to get a new one and put one on both arms. One machine was okay and the other one was really low again - so it was definitely the machine!

Only if you are not feeling well.

Have you woken up with unexplained bumps on your body?😝

The other option is to take loads of readings over a period of a few hours and see what comes up.

If they are all over the place, then send it back for replacement.

Good luck.💚
