Hello everyone, I have not posted before but I am wondering if may be I could have been wrongly diagnosed as my blood pressure readings are between 115/60-150/63, the diastolic is always normal or even lower sometimes, it is only the systolic that sometimes randomly flares up to a high number. All the anti hypertension medication I have been prescribed have made me so I’ll had to stop taking them, I have pointed out to the doctor the fact that the diastolic is always around 60s mark why? Please if someone out there has a similar experience please help me by letting me know, thanks. I had my 80th birthday last month.

you’re doing well! Have a look at the website of Blood Pressure UK the specialist charity. If you don’t get the Andy there you might be able to phone them after the holidays
If you are feeling well, then you should be ok.
The general feeling would be that it is good to keep BP low---120 to 130s, as long as the side effects are not getting you down.
Certainly worth talking to the doctor about the diastolic numbers.
Do you take your readings at the same time for every reading?
Do you get lightheaded at any time ?
Good luck.
There is something called Isolated Systolic Hypertension which mostly happens in people over 65. Maybe you should ask your doctor about it. Here is a description: mayoclinic.org/diseases-con....
