amlodipine and Candesartan

been taking Candesartan 10mg for years which controlled my BP well with little side effects. Recently a BP check was too high so it was increased to 16 then 24 but I had horrible side effects so reduced back to 16. BP not lowered at all in fact went higher and now been prescribed Amlodipine to take along with Candesartan. Anyone had experience of this combination? Also want to check about taking low dose aspirin with them?

I'm taking Amlodipine 5mg, along with Omesar 10mg (Olmesartan) which sounds like what you are on.They are working well, no side effects, except for maybe peeing a bit more often. But that could also be due to higher liquid intake.

Don't know about the aspirin factor.

I do see hydrating more has a major effect on my readings.

My BP readings also fluctuate quite a lot. eg , this morning, they ranged from 157 to 125 within 5 minutes - all sitting quietly at my kitchen table! Only factor was intense mindfulness!!!😝

Which seems to make a bit of a cod of the whole process???😥💚

I take amlodipine and Candesartan which contorl my bp well. Occasionally I feel lightheaded but this is a small price to pay. I don't take aspirin - not sure if good idea but doctors recommend it.

I have been on Amlodipine for a year with no issues.

I have taken both Amlodipine and Candesartan for several years with no problems. As they are both low dose that might contribute to my lack of problems. I am now 79 years old.
