Menopause

Has anyone had the experience of raised BP and sugar levels as a result of being in the menopause? I am on Metformin and Jardiance and I eat carefully such as low carbs and sugar. I do have a sweet tooth so have to curb this which is of course tricky. I exercise regularly but my blood count still remains high and I am trying to understand why. Any suggestions gratefully received .Thank you

Id suggest your first port of call would be Blood Pressure UK, the specialist charity. Certainly a lot of women start having hypertension at the same time as the menopause….. but lots of men start too at around that age! Also if your blood sugar is raised this needs dealing with. Sooner rather than later. Diet and lifestyle are the first line of attack - the British Diabetic Association has lots of info as does the NHS website.
