I’m new-ish to high bp. My journey started with readings around 150/105 give or take a few back in November. Was put on Ramipril and got the cough so changed to 100mg Losartan, bp still not where it needed to be so last week I was put on 5mg Amlodipine as well and finally the readings in the last 2 days have been around 125/87 😊 need to report back to the gp next week but I’m hoping she will be happy with it now.

Hi Molly. 125/87 sounds fine to me, I'm sure you're GP will be happy about that.

Medication is not the only thing - as I expect the doc has already said. Lifestyle and diet have a big effect

Most definitely, I also have long covid and that is adding to the bp being high too and exercising is difficult but I do manage a half hour walk every day. I was a runner before covid and walked to work n back etc but all that stopped. But I’m getting there x

That BP looks very good. I went the other way, from Amlodipine to Ramipril. My problem with Amlodipine was aching legs. No issues after 2 months on Ramipril
