I wonder if anyone else has this problem. I have high bp, anaemia, high cholesterol and IBS. One kind of diet is is good for a particular issue but bad for another. All the problems are being treated but not responding as well as they should. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Different conditions need different diets.
I imagine your doctor hasn’t been all that helpful. I’m thinking a qualified dietician would be your best bet.
Dr rangan chatterjee on uTube has some fantastic information/advice on gut health and chronic disease. Have a look it’s definitely worth the time. I have gotten some great idea and changed aspects of my diet. 🍀🍀
In my experience Gp's don't cope well with those who have multiple health issues. They seem unable to consider all the health issues together. I guess that is why they are General practitioners, with a general knowledge only. The same can be said of dietitians. I have not found one that can deal with CKD, HBP, IBS, Diabetes, extreme cholesterol and riddled with Arthritic pain. I keep telling myself medicine is not an exact science, they are just guessing at my expense.Trying to find a diet that satisfies all my health issues doesn't exist, you have to make it up as you go. Interestingly what is good for diabetes is not good for CKD and visa versa, then throw in IBS and you are destined for a life without food fun. The more rigid I stick with my diet the better the results are reflected. Slip and the results slip with it.
I now limit myself to only fresh and natural foods without salt or sugar and no spice and little herb. Red meat is almost a thing of the past and it all gets washed down with chilled, filtered water, which I never did enjoy. My test results have stabilised as a result of my diet so something is working for me. Coincidentally my cholesterol has dropped to a high of 6.4 as opposed to the extreme 9.8 for the last 30 years or more!
Not to many people appreciate dietary constraints unless they suffer them themselves.
