Hello. I have just joined and wonder if anyone takes 16mg of doxazocyn. I also take 10mg of ramipril and 5mg of bisoporol. I have some side effects and so far the high bp is not responding. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Unresponsive to medication
I was taking rampiril but it made me feel terrible so came off that and went on losartan. I am also on 10mg amlopodine. Sometimes you have to try several different medications to find out which work best for you and bring your bp down.
You don't say how long you've been on this medication - some do take time to work through. Are you aware of Blood Pressure UK? its a charity concentrating totally on ... yes you've guessed. Its got hints and tips and might help you understand more about your hypertension.
Been trying to get it sorted for about 6 months. I was on a small dose of ramipril before that but suddenly the bp shot up for no apparent reason. I did contact blood pressure uk and they suggested amlodipine but I took that for a short time and it made me really unwell.
So you’ve been on this dowse for several weeks and unhappy with it - back to your doctor perhaps? Another suggestion is to talk to your pharmacist about medication and their side effects and armed with anything they can tell you, you can talk in an informed way. I imagine all the lifestyle (diet, fitness and what have you) has been taken on board.
Hi i was on 8mgs doxazosin and after losing weight was put down to 4mgs, no side effects but it brought my bp in line (together with candesarten and bendroflumethiazide) i'm usually about 110/65, have been for 15 years.
