How often do you check your blood pressure?

Due to the resistance to medication, l am forced to take my pressures at least 3 times daily and sometimes more whenever I feel like it may be extraordinarily high. I get more consistent numbers when using a manual Sphygmomanometer and a stethoscope than with a osillometric device. Just took both mine, my sister's and my mother's pressures. Got 152/106 me, 140/74 sister and 170/120 mom.

ive stopped taking it for months,feel much calmer not doing it,it use to stress me out 3,4,5 times a day looking for that 1 reading,the more i got stressed the more it went up, so i might do it in jan 2021 not done it since sept, before that everyday for last 8 months, never again,you can be having a great day do bp bit high ruins your day,well it did mine.i go with 100 plus age so im 72 , 172/90 ok for me

I am wearing a BP wrist cuff, no stress and easy to check daily often; it is good to know your BP if in fact you have hypertension, not doing so can have dramatic consequences

Hello Sphygmogirl90. I seem to remember you’ve posted before with very high readings so this latest reading is a bit lower, thank goodness.

I seem to remember that you are a body builder??? Forgive me if I’ve remembered incorrectly, but I would expect your readings to be high to enable you to do this.

I expect you relax fully before taking your readings, no talking and so on?
