Early days but over 1month on Lercanidipine ,no adverse side effects and able to have normal thinking and thoughts without feeling a zombi as was the problem on indapamide and amlodipine.Good BP no spikes, take just 10 mg in morning 1 hour before any food. All professional reviews give Lercanidipine to be more tolerable, believe the cost is 4x the other two.

I have just gone from amlodipine to indapamide. Also take Losartan 100 mg and Atorvastatin, garlic liquid in capsules and dispersible aspirin.

I was on both amplodipine and lercandip. Had the normal zombie effects from amplodipine, could not exercise at all. Taken off that and onto lercandipine, and could walk 2 miles daily. On it for 3 years with swollen legs and ankles into the bargain. Along with burning feeling in the feet, and leg cramps in the morning getting out of bed.

I thought this was the price to pay for being on furosemide, lercandip, doxatan and perindopril. Cest la vie.

Missed a daily dose of lercandip, and symptoms went away immediately. So it was only this tablet that gave me the issues. Sooooo.

I stopped this tablet for a month, and monitored my own bp during this. Took a 24 hour monitor , and went to see my consultant. BP monitor was the best I had in 3 years. Doc took me off lercandip. Doc confirmed that these were classic problems with lercandip felt by some patients.

I have now given up all caffeine, eat salads daily. My BP appears to have reduced a further 10+%, waiting to see the doc for this confirmation. And feel great, where before I could walk 2 miles, reluctantly. Now I can mange 4 no problem, and some days do 6.

Life just got a whole lot better.

Cycled 16 k today. Between dropping the lercandip, caffeine, and better diet, life is improving daily.

I like you have been on Lercanidipine only for 5 months now along with clopidigrel blood thinner. I have been suffering with severe rheumatic episodes and have almost been giving up on my long walks and exercise classes as it has been such a struggle. Doc says nothing to do with meds. Didn’t want to drop my blood thinner but stopped Lercanidipine for last three days and immediately the pain has gone from the whole body, just kept monitoring my bp. So definitely caused by the meds. Will now go back to gp only thing don’t know what they will put me on now as o have not tolerated bp meds well and thought at first this was the best.

Hi I decided to come of Lercanidipine after 5months, and three days later my severe pain in muscle and joints was much better. I then asked GP what I could use as I have a lot of problems with the drugs. GP has after trying lots gone back to candesartan as due to lockdown he did not want me having to go on one where you need a blood test all the time due to Covid 19, and needing to attend surgery. He has put me on lowest one but I am having muscle cramps still which I will just need to endure at the moment as I don’t want to go to GP. I also had terrible joint pains while on all the different cholesterol meds as well. So the dilemma is do I suffer the muscle probs as they keep my BP low difficult.

The thing is we are all different and maybe you will be good on them let’s hope. I did come off this drug too and all pain disappeared so definitely the meds for me. But I’m back on as scared to have high BP .

I’m about to start taking Lercanadipine and hope that this time I’ll be ok.

Having had a reaction to Amlodopine, Indapamide and then to find my low sodium level the GP attributes to the last BP med I was on, Losartan.

Hoping this is fourth time lucky.
