What blood pressure medication is safe for people with liver disease (PBC )

Hello everyone, hope I can get some help from you lovely people. Actually I have blood pressure and need to take medication. Once I tried Amlodipine 5mg, the day after taking it, I felt so bad and my blood pressure came down so rapidly. I did carry on taking it for one week I thought that I may get use to it. But after one week it was unbearable to carry on and had to stop it. Now I have to try another weaker one 2.5mg blood pressure tablet. As I have advanced Pbc I need to take a tablet which is safe for my liver. I’m not very keen to take Parmid XL 2.5 mg which my GP prescribed, as not happy with the information in its leaflet. I’m so much confused and don’t know what blood pressure medicine is safe for my liver and with less side effects ( my blood pressure is 150/76) and some times is 145 or 147. I’m very sensitive in taking medicines and have to be very careful what I am taking . Please can any one advise me. Many thanks. Rose

Thanks, I thought it’s better to ask this group (blood pressure group) as for sure they have plenty of knowledge about blood pressure but you are right I will get advice from pbc group. Many thanks and all the best.Rose
