Hi I am 43 years old and have suffered from hypertension for years, I am on six different blood pressure medications, they are not working. My blood pressure averages 217/163, I have had serious problems with my medication, in 2014 I was rushed into hospital with a heart rythmn of 242 Beats per minute. On arrival at the Hospital, I went into Cardiac Arrest, I still have problems with my heart rythmn. I am under the Cardiologist now, I hope a solution can be found for people who are resistant to high blood pressure medication.

Hypertension Me
Hi. I hope that a solution is found for you as it is very worrying, which of course is not good for high blood pressure! I was having problems with my blood pressure spiking which was causing me a lot of worry but I seem to have that under control now. I was vastly over-weight but have managed to lose over 2 stone and have made huge adjustments to my diet which I am finding easy to manage. A suggestion was made to me about lowering the carbs I eat which I have done by not eating any at lunchtime and this has without a doubt made a difference to my blood pressure. Also as a bonus, even though I had been dieting for 3 months before trying this, my weight is going down. Now I am overweight instead of obese, and am determined to lose the last 2 stone to be in the normal range. I don't know whether you already are trying this but if not it may be worth a try. Best wishes Catlover3
