Have you tried following recommendations to decrease the amount of salt (and sodium) you take? A lot of the time just watching out for processed foods is enough, but still nice to learn about other ways to season food (e.g. herbs, spices).

I agree not to do it, we need salt in reasonable quantities but it is important to purchase purer salts i.e. Himalayan, organic, pure sea salt not the awful processed rubbish that is commonly used.
I follow a low sodium diet in as much as I choose my tins and processed foods by which has the lowest level. When I cook I use a mixture of herbs like parsley, basil, rosemary ant thyme but be careful I had may mistakes on use and had to experiment. I don`t use salt to cook and so people can choose to add it if they want. I do not know if this has been good for me but my BP is under control and overall my intake of salt is within guidelines. I am not perfect but I do my best.
Yes I have as I am in AF and they told me heart failure so I have been cutting out salt as much as possible and reducing fluids. My oedema in ankles much improved and I can walk better. Salt is in most of the things I like,so it' s hard keeping under 2g a day don't buy predone food cook from fresh and add chilli and combination of herbs. You do get used to low salt I also use alot of black pepper. Do Not use salt subitutes as these are as bad.Good luck.
