Were you registered the last time as Extremely vulnerable the last time and then when it ended put in the paused category? Check your emails as that is how they are currently contacting us at the moment because they would have you on their files.

If you are new to the Extremely Vulnerable list it may take a little while but should not be as bad as some people had to wait the first time as hopefully there won't be so many people to look for and contact.

If you have any questions unsure if you are in this category it may be a good idea to have a talk with your GP because they have on record all your conditions which some hospital specialist departments might not be aware of as they are concentrated on their own specialty.

The Gov Web site that I read the other day said that people are being contacted at the end of the week. But a lot of us who were on pause have had emails so keep an eye on your emails and then if you don't have anything soon talk to your GP.

Good luck and keep safe.

My daughter got a 'shielding letter' when shielding was suspended so she was new to list. She got a shielding email last night. Work from home, if you can't work from home - don't work. She also registered on the site so she can get help if she needs it.

Hi, some asthma patients were taken off the shielding list last time as apparently they found asthma doesn’t put us more at risk. However people who have SEVERE asthma are still on the list I think , which you have. I think it was slightly dependent on what inhalers and if you’re on or have needed steroids etc. If you were on it last time and didn’t get removed then I’d chat to your GP!

I think all people over 60 are classed as vulnerable now, but not sure they are getting written to, unless they are extremely clinically vulnerable. I don’t know what happened in general with the elderly last time in regards to letters.

But if I was her, I would stay as shielded as possible, letter or no letter!

Sadly lots of people considered vulnerable. But is only extremely vulnerable that receive letters and priority shopping deliveries.
