I'm like you, they can't take away what you never had. ๐Ÿค—

It winds me up something chronic when you are led to believe that you are getting something and then at the last minute no you aren't and it feels like a smack in the face and it's like having a door slammed in your face as well

I would rather not have things at all than be led to believe I am getting them and then at the last minute no I'm not.

Being old and cynical I never believed that we were going to get anything. The joyful jumping and down on the announcement of the release of the first vaccine misled a lot of people. It was just a small step in the right direction.

I learned that lesson back in September when they claimed days out and holidays would be happening then and I had just started socialising and then the door was slammed in my face when whispers were going round about local lockdowns and it had felt like a cruel trick has been played on me but I learned from this not to listen to the government when they are full of empty promises which is why I never planned anything over Christmas and it was the right decision as I just knew they would pull a stunt like that claim people were getting things and then slam the door in their faces at the last minute like they did!

Lol...Sadly I think it comes as no surprise to members of the forum. It was a question of when rather than if. Stay safe.

Was expected and I think needed anyway. I have been shielding since last March and have only been out for medical appointments. I have one coming up next Monday at the hospital, not to sure that I want to go anywhere near a hospital though. I am more than happy to stay indoors and stay safe. Good that we have this site to communicate with each other, keeps me sane. Well Take Care and Stay Safe everyone.๐Ÿ˜Š xx

I'm just glad a decision has been made so we all know where we stand, everyone look after yourselves!

It was expected, especially after seeing how many people were out prior to Christmas in crowded high streets. Hopefully, after a couple of weeks the numbers will level out and begin to drop as would be expected after the socialising that no doubt took place over the Christmas and new year period.

I am just happy that we have continued to shield and remain within our family bubble (with my daughter and her partner). Sadly this lockdown means that we cannot see even them for a while as they are not in the local area as currently directed.

At least we can still attend church and go to Mass. I am truly grateful for that.

Hi ladytelita, please be really careful going to church... Iโ€™m a Christian and would usually go to a big church of 400 but mine had been closed and online since March. Just because there are lots of people in an indoors space together (even if thereโ€™s 12 of you) sat together for an hour or so, and people will touch the chairs ๐Ÿช‘, cough and splutter as per normal, sneeze ๐Ÿคง etc. Itโ€™s just a high risk place to go if youโ€™re clinically extremely vulnerable. Most churches I know locally are advising people not to attend if theyโ€™re in the vulnerable group. I donโ€™t want to burst that bubble of being really grateful you can still go, because my faith is really important to me too. Iโ€™m just saying be careful and safe!

I wasn't surprised when they announced officially there is going to be a lockdown!
