You should have received an email from the BLF explaining what they know up to today regarding your query.I received mine just now from them.

Yes skis, it's says SEVERE Bronchiectasis. So as mine is currently mild, I guess I'm reasonably safe. (Kath does a little jig around the sofa).

If you drill down into the site the selection criteria becomes more involved and i believe if like yourself you have immune issues you may soon be jigging with the shielded group and your compo ration pack may already be being prepared,we can do swops of certain items and you can have my chocolates and sweets in exchange for your woodbines lol

xx

How did you know about the Woodbines Skis? They're kept well hidden inside me vest.. 😳

They are the ones you will receive in your govt survival pack along with a vial of atropine should we suffer a nerve gas attack.just jab the rather vicious looking needle in your thigh and you will live to fight another day....or two. :) xx

If you have the free flu jab because of your health issue, you are high risk.

Not received anything from anyone, the list on the gov web site does not list bronchiectasis specifically, I am 37 with mild bronch in 1 lung but in a good condition with the rest of my health, I excercise daily and eat healthy and have on average 1 exacerbation a year.

nothing makes sense anymore, my wife works in a school kitchen and she has been off work since last week as I had a temperature and tight chest - I also took it upon myself to self isolate and after 24 hours felt more or less ok , however she now has had an email about returning to work on a limited rota to serve dinner to children of NHS staff? How is this going to shield me???

Thank you, I was about to ask for the link as I have not had an email yet.

It doesn't include any mild lung condition, only severe. 25m people get a free flu jab. Only 1.5m will be shielded

I agree it seems to explain what happens if you have severe conditions and understandably those people in this category need looking after ,does that mean that if you’re diagnosed with mild or moderate you should carry on with social distancing i have copd not sure of catagory I think I am even more confused ,I chose not to go work today and for the rest of the week until I got clarity on what I should do , I really can’t afford to take time off but getting the virus is scary . Stay safe hopefully some clarity over the next few days x

To be honest I can cope with staying at home with my wife and 3 small kids (all under 10 and super spreaders apparently) as long I can go for a walk get in the car and go for a drive every few days , apparently boris is going to pay some of my wages so if that satisfies my employer I can hunker down and get on with life and hopefully in a few months this will all seem like a bad dream. What does not make sense to me is I have to live under a rock for 3 months or more potentially whilst my wife goes back to school and serves dinners to the kids whose parents are dealing with Coronavirus in hospitals , how is this going to protect me?
