Hi. I have been using Trimbow for about 8 months and though it seemed to be an improvement initially on my previous inhalers I find that now I seem to be a lot more breathless. I wondered if anyone that has used Trimbow has found anything that helped more with breathing when they changed from it?

There has been a lot of discussion about the merits of various inhalers on here over the years and it seems that some work for some people better than others and there’s a certain amount of trial and error involved. My husband was given Trimbow after being on Symbicourt with Spiriva. He thinks for him there’s not much difference but the Trimbow is easier to use as it’s a triple inhaler. He uses it with a spacer twice a day.
There is also a triple inhaler called Trelegy Ellipta which has similar but not the same constituents. I’ve read some good research on its effectiveness but my husband hasn’t used it.
There’s been lots of posts about Trimbow so if you put it in the search they will come up. If you are feeling much more breathless check with your doctor as you may have an infection.

You could have a telephone consultation and drop off a sputum sample to be checked for infection. X
Need to have the spirometer tests done though.
Will wait until I can get into the surgery. I’m sure I’ve not got an infection, it’s just a general decline in breathing, which to be fair, may be nothing to do with the inhaler, but a natural progression. Thanks!
I was put onto Trimbow several months ago and am finding my breathing is getting worse all the time. Am looking to go back to drugs I was on previously as don’t feel happy with this one.

Trimbow caused me numerous problems. I was put on it from Spiriva. Dont know why as never had problems.ended up rushed into hospital with breathing difficulties. Taken off trimbow put back on Spiriva all went back to normal. Scary experience but we are all different. Sheila
I had to come off Trimbow after 15 days, as it made my breathing quite a lot worse. Went back on my previous inhalers, Spiriva capsules and Sirdupla, and noticed an immediate improvement.
I had problems with Trimbow like lots of others. Put back on Spiriva which I have taken for 10yr no problems. Sheila

I have not had Trimbow but had Trellegy Ellipta and tried it for 3 months had few side effects but then my breathing got worse so the nurse changed me to revla Ellipta tried that for nearly a month and then very breathless again spoke to her and she said you cant keep chopping and changing, luckily I still had some of my old medication so i put myself back on it, Braltus, Symbicort and Ventolin and am back to how I was after another month or so I wont be going to see her again I shall see or speak to the Doctor in future and will not be in a hurry to change my medication again.

We are all different and although I haven’t taken Trimbow I had a similar experience with Braltus. Initially it was a great help but later I felt it was making me worse. Like you it was during lockdown and no face to face with the Doctor. However I had a phone consultation with the Doctor, explained that I thought it was making me worse and could I change to something else. She wasn’t convinced but agreed to try Fostair. Within 2/3 days I was a different person. It is at least worth you speaking to your Doctor even though you may not be able to see them face to face. Good luck

i've been on Trimbow for a while but I find it wears off as have inhalers I've been on previously, I am struggling more at the moment i find heat and humidity affect me a lot and also the pollen count as I have hay fever and allergies
Can u come of a triple back to a double inhaler with no problems anyone tried that
