Had my nasal surgery, septoplasty, fess and cit. Very tired now prob due to the anaesthetic, I slept on and off but very blocked so my throat is so sore.

My nose is discharging especially when I'm no my feet they did say it should clear up in few days. Just really tired and bit heady. Just going to rest today in bed. Glad it's all done now and hopefully over the next 2 weeks I'll start feeling better.

I'll keep you posted about the effects but he did say it'll be six weeks till I really feel the difference.

Hello Shancock . You are bound to feel out of sorts for a while. And may have a fever too. I really didn't do well for weeks but everyone is different. Are you home already? They wanted me in hospital for a few days. The site throat will go eventually. Hang in there

Yes I'm home now, just in bed. Having small walks round the bedroom and using loo from time to time. I am wearing tight stockings still the hospital said to wear for couple of days. My nose is bloody an discharging not gushing just drippy they said it should calm down tomorrow. I just feel very tired from anaesthetic still but I've not got fever. I've got another 7 days of Amoxicillin to take to now to prevent infection but I'll be in house for the next week anyway. My head, eyes and teeth ache too. Now I know how a boxer must feel!

I know. Everything hurts. I remember even my head was pounding. The discharge will continue for quite awhile. When do you go back to have the packing in your nose removed? Hang in there. It may be a tough couple of days. Just make sure you rest as much as you can. 😐

I haven't got packing they took it off there, I'm seeing consultant next Friday and then again in 6 weeks.

Do you mean there is no gauze up your nose? That would be unusual.

No there's nothing that's how they do it here apparently unless there's a problem and they said mine went very well. I suppose everywhere different.

I'm not gushing or anything there just a drip every now and then.

Well I'm glad for you. Having packing is dreadful. Take it easy. Lots of rest and fluids. I hope you feel better very soon. xx 🍓🍒🍉🍎🍇

Thank you very much, now I can imagine how painful it must be to have a broken nose! God only knows why people have a nose job that must be horrendous can't imagine opting for this kind of pain!

I've got a watery eye, I think that's connected with the pain as my hurts so much. I know the consultant said it went really well so he didn't damage my eyes or anything. My left eye just starts watering when I get pain.

I remember being in a blur because everything from my shoulders up hurt, plus I couldn't breathe through my nose. And of course just the general feeling of malaise. It really took me a better part of a year to feel the benefits, but I am always slow at healing. Did they put you under completely? Or were you awake?

No it wasn't General so I feel very tired still but too much pain to sleep so just dozing. I've got abs too.
