I drew back the blinds one day last week and saw that we had a visitor. Both Midge and I nearly jumped out of our skins. Midge was jumping about in a rage, but once we went out and did the introductions, I think she fell in love. They had a good romp in the garden together, he turned out to be a real gentlemen. I phoned his distraught owner who came to pick him up pronto, much to Midge's disappointment.

The Visitor.
What a handsome gent, no wonder Midge fell in love. Xxxxx
Midge was ranting and raving at him for about five minutes, as in the photo, and he just stood there looking at her with that bemused expression on his face. By that time I'd could see that he was very friendly dog and safe to approach. He lives quite a way away and must have jumped a number of high backgarden fences.
I’m pleased he was collected by his owner Don and hope Midge gets to meet him again. Xxx 😉
Shame on you! Don’t use the term”too old” or me & Midge will start calling you that! LOL, please accept my humor as I’m only joking
😂 At 86 “too old” is a term with which I am well familiar. But you are right, Midge is only 77 in dog years so I shouldn’t have said that about her. 😉
There's no future in it Sassy, he's two and Midge will be twelve this year. Too old to be looking for a toy boy.
or to be a cradle snatcher
Never say never Don xxx 😀😘
Wow looked like a wolf!!! Great picture 😃
Midge is certainly holding her own! What good house dogs Jack Russells are. I'm glad the interloper was friendly though - poor chap looks completely bewildered.
Midge is not an aggressive dog but she defends me and our property as if she is a Rottweiler.
My visitor each day is a robin - he only comes for the ealworms but he occasionally looks my way which I take as a thankyou.
Bill
Wow look at Midge defending you all! Her hackles are up and everything! Glad it all ended well and her new friend made it home ok. xx
Oh poor Midge tell your human to take you out and find your very own boyfriend or maybe you’de prefer a puppy to boss around just don’t forget your mommy or daddy will have to love a new dog just like you and you will have to share the toys and yes I know this is the hard one but also your treats, water & food. Good luck on whatever you decide but it’ll be hard to match tall, dark & handsome that came to your door, you would love it at my house I have: 2 canines similar to the one at your door, 3 birdies in a cage that whistle for dogs and a turtle that’s fun to watch swim around. I love that your human posted this when the site is awfully depressing some days. You have a good human Midge take care of them they need you👍👍
Hi sandyeggo......I am just trying to picture your three birdies whistling for your dogs, I have heard of parrots confusing dogs by calling them.
The photos of pets and gardens lift my spirits too, sandy, there are days when I sorely need that support.
I was just admiring Midges humans immaculate hedge in that photo too, puts my bedraggled garden hedge to shame.
It’s just me and Midge here now Sandyeggo . If you type ‘Midge’ in the search box at the top of the page it will take you to a good few messages about her. She was very poorly this time last year and I thought I was going to lose her (I wasn’t too good myself). But we both pulled through it and were able to resume our travels in the campervan. 😀 You have a lovely family of animals there.
I am not very good at giving advice about the ailments that I have, so instead I concentrate on trying to amuse my friends on here who are very good at giving advice. Otherwise it can be very depressing reading at times. I accept that I could also be irritating others, but there are ways they can avoid me.
I get the same reaction from my dog, Alfie, when he looks out of the French windows - but it’s normally his reflection he’s barking at!
lovely photo a typical jack Russell loval to their owners my jack Russell will be11 feb 3rd we picked him up from the rescue place,he gets frit though if me and my son loose our tempers try not to now hes getting onlove hom to bitsmy best friend,
I just gotta tell ya you really look great for an 86y/o man! I’m 52 and stay with my 87y/o father and he can barely make out a check correctly let alone use social media. Yeah he’s still got a head full of hair but never smiles and uses every opportunity to yell at me, cursing, blaming me for ALL my siblings an it’s impossible to speak to him rationally like”they’re NOT my darn children” or “ it’s not my doing whatever the weather is outside, I’m just not that powerful” Kudos to you though,👍you’re doing a great job don’t look a day over 68-70
