I dont blame her. Brave of you Don, to brace yourself to go out to lunch. Lots of trees have blown down in the village where I live. I hope the wind eases tonight. Keep warm, keep well and give your little Midge a cwtch in case she's afraid of the wind. Chrys
We are quite sheltered here with no big rivers running through and the sea well contained. Iโm only just realising how bad it was, and still is, around the country.
A wise move by Midge ๐ The storm is due to continue today and tomorrow here, in fact it looks like it's going to be even windier. I hope you both got through it all ok (and you had a good lunch) ๐
We tend to miss the worst effects of storms in this area HH you must be getting much worse up there. I canโt believe how much time the BBC news is giving to back slapping celebrities (?) when Iโm trying to see just how bad it has been around the country. ๐ I did enjoy my lunch, thank you, I donโt get to see my daughter as often as would like. Stay safe.
Morning Don,Hope Midge is ok and managed to go for a wee. So glad you enjoyed your Meal & getting to see your Daughter. The wind here(Midlands) has lessened, but this Morning when Looking out side My Lovely Heavy Wooden Bird Table is at the end of the Garden along with The Wheely Bins. Yesterday afternoon the Big Glass patio Table had Blown over, no Glass broken, All the Saved Potted Plants(on the Table) where strewn amongst the Compost, which became slimey Mud with the Heavy Rain. Though the temperature has not been Cold. Just a Windy Time for All, Have a Good Monday Don & Midge. Hugs. C. XXX
I'm lucky again there too. Last month I had the fence on one side of my garden replaced, 25 panels which cost me a fortune and I had been moaning about, until that storm hit. Not a bit of damage out there. ๐x
Yes, I sometimes think I could learn from her. ๐คฃ I did enjoy my lunch thanks, Whitby scampi always bring back happy memories there, but have to miss out on the ๐บ now.
I can buy those in my local Sainsburys but it is not the same as eating them in Whitby. Lovely place . My parents lived there in retirement and my sister does still, bkut cant do the long haul on M62 from west to east any more.
You have a very wise friend there Don, I am sure Midge enjoyed her snooze at home. Good to hear that you had a nice lunch out with your daughter.
One of my neighbours has a huge conifer crash onto his roof yesterday morning and I havent slept a wink worrying about the other two coming down, the winds are still very strong here at the moment, never known them to last so long x
I do hope they hold, there's been a tremendous amount of damage around the country, I didn't realise how bad it was until the news this morning, here in my sheltered spot. x
