yes. The time to stop - and it should not have been necessary to stop anyway - would have been before the extraction. Now, you are healing.
No one on here can give that advice. What did your dentist tell you to do? If you haven't discussed aspirin with your dentist, then I suggest you talk to someone on 111 this evening or contact your dentist in the morning for guidance.
Hi Jessica - as each of us is different, and taking various meds, a quick phone call to your dentist this morning should help with your query - better safe than sorry ☺️ Just wanted to add though, I'd two molars extracted very recently over the course of four weeks and, after the first one, asked my lovely dentist if it would be okay to use my usual Corsodyl mouth wash after brushing. He told me not to use it for a couple of days, but to rinse my mouth with some tepid water with a spoonful of salt added. It really helped with the healing - make sure to spit it all out again though! As a 65yr-old I was genuinely surprised at how easy the extractions were and how little pain I had afterwards as I'd been dreading it beforehand. Good Luck with the healing.👍
aspirin and ibubrufen are a mild anticoagulant. Normally no problem with taking them.
I had a tooth extraction last year whilst still on both clopidogrel and aspirin and everything was fine. I didn't stop either of them and the dentist was fully aware of all my medication. He did say had I been on Warfarin he'd be more concerned. As others have said though, and as we are all different, if you are concerned give the dentist a quick ring to double check. Happy healing
I've never stopped mine
