Well it’s a year since I last posted so I thought I’d update.
I had another echo last June which showed another increase in my EF to 32%. Since then I’ve carried on life as normal as possible. Back to work full time. Travelled across Europe again during the summer and still working out in the Gym 3 times a week as well as walking daily! Feeling better as time goes on. Been discharged from Cardiologist and HF Nurse . Things have definitely turned out better than I expected!

Well done, to be able to do all that on 32% EF is amazing. Just out of curiosity what is your job that your are able to go back to full time. I'm a postman in a rural location so I use a van, obviously there is some walking but I don't have to carry much and I'm thinking I won't be able to go to that. I'm 5 months post AVR and CABG
That's a great update to read, Kenny, thank you so much for sharing your good news. You're obviously doing everything right to keep up and improve your health and it's very reassuring for others in the same position knowing these improvements can be made. Here's to many more years of health and happiness. Carol
Thanks. I keep an album of positive stories from this forum on my phone to go to when I get the wobbles so I’m happy I can share my story and give people hope. My cardiologist was beaming when he discharged me. I’ve gone from being given very little chance of survival on a life support machine to being discharged with a good prognosis and told to go and get on with my life.
Your story's amazing, Kenny - your cardiologist and HF team must be so proud of you and how well you've recovered. You're not only a credit to yourself with your positive attitude and continuing exercise regime, but you're a credit to their skill and care too. Carol
