Hi everyone, I have been changed to a new beta blocker will be starting Nebivolol tomorrow as Bisoprolol wasn't agreeing with me and reducing my blood pressure more along with the other meds I am taking for heart failure, I have lower blood pressure anyway.
Has anyone had any experience with Nebivolol? Is it much different to Bisoprolol
Any help would be appreciated
Thank you🤗

I much prefer Nevibolol as it doesn’t disrupt my sleep or give me weird dreams. I’m calm and my blood pressure is nice and healthy. On Bisoprolol I could only get 2 hours sleep a night, which was destroying my mental health which in turn put my blood pressure up!
hi there I’m doing doing the same change, I’ve been on Nevibolol for just over a week, a low dose 1.25 a day, but all seems fine. I do think my sleep seems a bit calmer than before, I think it’s going to be better,
Yes, I was on Bisoprolol and changed to Nebivolol for hypertension. Both are beta blockers but are different. Nebivolol is the latest beta blocker and is often prescribed (I believe) for people who have had difficulties with the older ones including Bisoprolol. I hadn't but I read that Nebivolol was a better fit with the other hypertensive medicine I was then taking. I had no problems with Nebivolol. But I am no longer on it. I reviewed with my GP all my medication, which is not much anyway. I am now on a potassium sparing diuretic plus Propranolol which was the first beta blocker ever to be invented years ago. My blood pressure is controlled and still no side effects but the Propranolol helps with a slight hand tremor I have resulting from social anxiety. Give it a try. I think traditionally GPs were reluctant to prescribe Nebivolol because they were not familiar with it and it was very expensive compared to the other beta blockers.
Thank you - I am taking the beta blocker not for blood pressure as mine is low anyway before this all started its being prescribed to calm the ectopic beats, so I will be interested to see if any different effect wise to bisoprolol both bring the blood pressure down more.
