Hi all , after ICD implant year ago for low heart rate (30 bpm at rest ) now keeps me at 60 bpm at rest but still on bisoprolol , been on it since my heart attack 2016 , web says Brady patients should not be on bisoprolol, am I missing something ? Been having dizzy spells lately and questioning everything. Don’t see cardiologist for another 5 months .
thanks 🙏

Sorry you're not feeling well. I use to be on bisoprolol for an erratic blood pressure (which I really didn't need to be on). I contacted my cardiologist and told him I wanted to wean off of it because the longer I was on it, the worse the side effects got (anxiety and light headedness). So I can see why you may be having lightheadedness on bisoprolol. It could be an indication that the bisoprolol is lowering your heart rate and blood pressure too low.I would call your cardiologist ASAP to get some answers. I hope you're feeling better soon!
hi I have an ICD that is also paced to a minimum of 60 bpm as my natural resting HR dipped as low as 20bpm. I have a icd for an electrical genetic heart issue so different reason than you. I am also on bisoprolol. Your capacity for your heart to go too slow has been removed from the situation by the pacing of your icd. I do get the dizzy spells also, it is a known side effect but it does control the dangerous type of heart beats that you get.
CPVT. The real name is a right mouthful but if you google that it will come up. Never come across yours previously. Just googled it and it sounds equally crap. Would you mind telling me if your case is sporadic or are there multiple cases in your family tree? Ours is familial.
I have an ICD and bradycardia, and also take a beta blocker because I have lots of ectopic beats and atrial fibrillation. Have you also had an electrical issue with your heart like ectopic beats or atrial fibrillation?
I had a cardiac arrest last march ( long story). I had an icd fitted and then on bisopropol as well. The bisopropol have eased my palpitations I'm still in a state of confusion over it all. But you asking this question and the people who have replied have helped answer some questions and knowing now I'm not alone with my fears. About the cardiac mri I would tell everyone involved so as they can help you. I hope everything is sorted quickly for you.
